It has been a priority of mine to offer group technology classes at the public library where I work. I also teach one-on-one sessions, but group sessions allow us to serve more patrons at once. Although group classes can be challenging with students at varying levels, they provide an excellent opportunity for collaborative learning.
I co-teach these classes in conjunction with another Instructional Technology Librarian. Together we have offered classes on Microsoft Office products, how to use various tablet devices, and accessing the library’s ebook collection.
