First Grade Fairy Tale Lesson

A lesson to compliment a first grade fairy tale unit. The lesson uses a book, preferably with animal characters, to fuel a discussion about the characteristics of fairy tales and fairy tale characters. The discussion forms the basis of a creative activity in which students choose a real animal and turn it into a fairy tale character by giving it magical qualities.
